Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-09-26
This English translation is provided for reference only, and the Japanese version prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
These Terms of Service set out the conditions for using pochit (the "Service"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
1. What the Service provides
The Service serves HTML files that you upload at a share link for the expiry period you choose. The Service is provided free of charge.
You must sign in to publish. People viewing published pages do not need an account.
We overlay pages we serve with an indication that they are served by the Service: a brief loading screen right after the page opens, followed by a badge that stays for a few seconds. Both disappear automatically, and we do not modify the uploaded HTML itself. This overlay is not shown on password-protected pages.
2. Prohibited content
You must not publish any page that falls under any of the following:
- Content that infringes the copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, or any other rights of a third party
- Content that impersonates a real person or organization, or that is intended for phishing
- Content that contains malware, or that behaves in ways the viewer does not intend
- Content that violates any law or regulation, or that promotes criminal activity
- Content that contains obscene material, or that constitutes child sexual exploitation
- Content that discloses personal information of a third party without that person's consent
- Content that attempts to circumvent the limits of the Service, such as limits on file size, expiry, number of live pages, or request rates
3. Responsibility for published pages
The person who published a page is responsible for its content. If a dispute arises with a viewer or other third party, the person who published the page must resolve it on their own.
4. Expiry, page limits, and deletion
You choose an expiry of 1, 7, or 30 days. Pages cannot be published without an expiry.
Each account can have up to 5 live pages at a time. Expired and deleted pages do not count toward this limit. Suspended pages do.
When a page expires, both the file and its records are automatically deleted. Deleted pages cannot be restored, so keep your own copy of the original.
To remove a page before it expires, you can delete it from the management page. Replacing the file does not extend the expiry.
5. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or delete any page suspected of violating Section 2 without prior notice. We may decline to give reasons in individual cases.
If you repeatedly commit violations, or if we determine that a violation is malicious, we may suspend your account.
Objections to a suspension or deletion, and requests from third parties to remove a page, can be submitted through the Contact page.
6. Share links
Unless a password is set, anyone who knows the share link can view the page. Pages are served with settings that ask search engines not to index them, but we cannot prevent a link from being passed from person to person. Do not publish information that would cause problems if others saw it.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided as is. We make no warranty as to its availability, the accuracy of its content, or its fitness for a particular purpose.
We may suspend, change, or discontinue the Service without notice for maintenance, in the event of a failure, or to change its specifications.
We are not liable for any damage arising from the use of the Service, except where the damage is caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. The revised Terms apply from the time they are posted on this page.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over our location as the court of first instance.
